The market of Android tablets isn’t appealing as the market of smartphones. The reason is that Google’s vanilla Android experience is somewhat lackluster when it comes to devices with big screens. Users in recent years have been focusing on smartphones since there is no big excuse for having an Android tablet. The story is different for Apple’s iPad. The company managed to build a branch of iOS dubbed iPadOS that brings a set of features that make sense for larger devices. A couple of companies in the Android side of the coin such as Samsung, and Lenovo have been working on Android tablets for the past decade. These companies provide their own software skin based on Android in a bid to make these devices appealing. Today, Lenovo is bringing its Lenovo Tab P11 to India in order to bring some heat for the local market of tablets.

For those unaware, the Lenovo Tab P11 was unveiled in the global market earlier this year. Lenovo took several months to bring it to India, we assume this had to do with the COVID-19 second wave that ravaged the country in the past few months. The Tab P11 brings some interesting specifications for those who need a tablet for certain tasks and can’t pay much. The product is a decent offering for students and young people that can have their tasks served by a mid-range tablet.

Lenovo Tab P11 specifications

The Lenovo Tab P11 packs an 11-inch IPS LCD with a 2,000 x 1,200 resolution. It offers 212PPI pixel density and a screen-to-body ratio of 81.8%. Under the hood, the Lenovo Tab P11 packs Qualcomm’s Octa-Core Snapdragon 662 SoC. It runs with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of Internal Storage. Users can further expand the storage with the use of a good micro SD card.

The Tablet features an aluminum-alloy chassis with a dual-tone finish. It also comes with optional accessories like a keyboard and stylus. The Lenovo Tab P11 draws its powers from a 7,700mAh battery with 20 W fast-charging support. In terms of connectivity, the device brings LTE support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C port. It also packs a 3.5mm headphone jack. The biggest issue with the device is that it still runs Android 10 with Lenovo’s skin on top. So if you’re not okay with outdated Android versions, then this device isn’t for you.

In terms of optics, the device comes with a 13 MP camera at the back. For selfies and video calls, it comes with an 8MP snapper.

The new tablet will be priced at INR 24,999 and is available only in white color. The shipments will start on August 5th.
