Tracker has partnered with the Independent Motor Dealers Association (IMDA) to provide dealers with ‘peace-of-mind’ to offer unaccompanied test drives.
Tracker said its partnership with the IMDA enables independent dealers to conduct ‘business as usual’, by bringing its members a self-install, self-powered device which allows dealers to monitor where vehicles are during an unaccompanied test drive and alerts dealers if the vehicle goes outside a specified area.
As a result of the new partnership, asset tracking with one-year free subscription is being offered to independent dealers.

Yesterday AM reported how Marshall Motor Group chief executive planned to keep operating unaccompanied test drives after July 19’s lifting of COVID-19 restrictions as part of the AM100 PLC’s efforts to continue protecting customers and staff.
Tracker said its GPS solution can be moved between cars or left in a vehicle permanently and includes access to a web user interface to monitor the vehicle’s location, and reporting capabilities such as journey direction, road speed limits and route taken.
In the event of a vehicle being stolen, the device can help police locate and recover the vehicle, Tracker said.
